There are two other stories, besides above that Surinder Makker is longing to share just to show the tremendous potential that exists today to really turn things around:

This family was in their fourth floor apartment when the earthquake struck and the roof of their living room caved in just as the lady was coming down the stairs that led to the living room. In the meantime, the foundation on one side gave way and the whole structure tilted to one side. She was left hanging for what seemed an eternity by the railing of the stair. Her husband made his way down somehow from the terrace, rescued her and the children from the tilted bedroom and they made their way out using the new slope created by the side wall that was still above ground. This experience left her a nervous wreck. Not only that, she developed an allergic rash all over her body and wearing any article of clothing became a nightmare. She was then confined to one locked room at her mothers home in Jamnagar. The case came to me after about a month or so and we started distance healing. She was able to travel to Ahmedabad in about ten days time, learnt the basic two courses and became a healer and started resurrecting her life. The family had lost everything. The real proud moment for me was when I ran into her a couple of years later and she told me that she had not only got her life back but they were proud owners of a new tenament - something that they had not thought to be possible after having lost everything.

Then there was the young girl who was 19 when she came to me in 2001.  She had tried to commit suicide on three different occasions because of things done since she was 10-11 years old. As a result she literally hated men and had problems opening up to me too. Gradually she opened up and we worked together for about a couple of years. The result - she is happily married today to a guy she absoultely adores. Obviously i do get a bit of credit..

Friends, I am not sharing these stories just for earning the applauses - they are welcome. But the point I am trying to make here is that the professions that I am currently involved in (Insurance Claims Investigations and runnning a Healing/ Training Centre for Healers) are the 12th and 13th respectively in my life. Would you believe it 12th and 13th??

I became an Insurance Claims Investigator in 1993 - and this was not by choice then but more to make ends meet. This was my career switch no. 12th career switch in 10 years, three years out of which were in Escorts.

It was not that I would not have been successful in all these professions that I found myself in but I just did not feel passionate enough about the things that I found myself doing. I felt that there was more to Life than just being materially successful.

I learnt Reiki in 1996 again more because I had no way out for the problems that I was facing in life - they were HUGE, believe me. I was leading what on the surface looked like not a very successful life. Imagine the plight of my family and the mental state of my wife. She was literally supporting me - in all areas of my life - while I was going through these professional changes. But she had not given up on her faith and hope! and did believe in me which was wonderful, all things considered..
